What does rain smell like to you?

We are pleased to welcome Berlin-based olfactory design studio AOIRO to EST. NOTE for a special scent workshop.

Founded by Shizuko Yoshikuni and Manuel Kuschnig, AOIRO explores the relationship between scent, memory, and atmosphere. Inspired by the air after rainfall across the islands of Japan, HAKUDO RAIN brings together twelve essential oils, each reflecting a different facet of rain.

In this intimate workshop, you’ll explore the twelve scents individually, discover the memories and feelings they evoke, and blend your own interpretation of rain.

There is no single rain to find. Only the rain you remember, imagine, and make your own.

What You Will Take Home

You’ll leave with a 15 ml personal scent blend and a diffuser object of your choice — a spherical lava stone or a sculpted cork column.
